EWS64 ASIO drivers & VST crash

Hi folks,
Anyone else had problems with Cubase VST 5.0 crashing completely when trying to change buffer sizes and general parrameters?

After one crash, and a reset of the computer, cubase will not even load past the title screen, before a complete sytem lock up.

This has only occurred recently, and I tried reinstall all programs and drivers but no success... please help

Have you tried Cubase using the MME drivers? This would be a way to check whether the ASIO drivers or Cubase are crashing.

cubase 5 is working perfectly, use cubase asio driver and not the ews asio driver. Also i did a new cubase install wich helped out my sync problem. Don't no why, i think of cubase's own asio drivers are slightly better. i use 1000mhz amd on abit-kt7a.

If that occurs after changing Terratec Asio settings, just delete ews4as.cfg from windows directory.
Restart system, and cubase, and everything is all fine.!!!
